Make natural homemade yoghurt in 3 easy steps:

  1. Pour 1 litre of UHT milk into the sanitised inner pot
  2. Stir in a yoghurt starter until dissolved (half a cup of naturally set commercial yoghurt is also suitable for use as your yoghurt starter)
  3. Switch on, leave for 6 hours and hey presto you'll have 1 litre of fresh natural homemade yogurt

If you enjoy thick yoghurt you may want to add 100g of full cream or skim milk powder to your UHT milk before you add the starter. If you prefer to use non-UHT milk, heating your milk to 90°C  & cooling it to 40°C  before adding your starter will help make your yoghurt thicker.

Note different starters have different setting times. Type C1 & C3 typically set in 4-8 hours, whereas Type C-ABY & C-ABT will set in 8-12 hours.
